I know what most of you want to know, what does Josie and I simply do all day long? Well, we have something scheduled everyday of the week and by the end of the day we are just warn out. Or are we?! Well, Josie and I have appointments daily with what Josie calls the POOL. Our appointment lasts from about 12:30-3:00 PM daily.
She wakes every morning to start yelling "Pool! Pool! Mama Pool!" I have to say that she is officially one of the tannest 21 months old that I know. Sometimes she sports her bikini, sometimes her Tinkerbell one piece, sometimes her birthday suit, or other times just her swim diaper. She can not get in the big pool without her swim diaper. She knows right where her swim diapers are kept and as soon as morning nap time is over she kindly goes gets her swim diaper, brings it to you along with her hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen and lays down on the floor to get ready to get in the pool. She swims in the big pool with only arm floaties now. What a big girl! She does not want to be restrained in an infant pool raft or for you to hold her anymore. Oh no, she wants to "go" in her words. She kicks her feet on her belly and back, blows bubbles in the water, floats on her back, spins, jumps in, everything that you would not expect a 21 month old to want to do on her very own with absolutely no help. You simply put her in the water and off she goes just like a little fishie trying to find its way. It is amazing and cute at the same time. She has a very white behind from being so tan everywhere else.
Well, today I guess she was not quite finished swimming for the day at 8:30 PM. Brent had left to go to Walter's house for a few if you know what I mean, so Josie and I played outside since it was still light out. Jamie, Jacob, and Presley are coming over tomorrow to go swimming, so we decided to vacuum the big pool to make it sparkle for our guests. While I was standing on the ladder vacuuming, Josie made beautiful pictures on the sidewalk with chalk to greet our guests when they arrive and then came and told me that she was going to "cook." She went up on the deck and into her playhouse she went. She loves her playhouse. I could hear and see her in the kitchen part of the house cooking up a storm. That was until all of a sudden, I was like I do not hear my Josie girl. I started to call for her, no answer. I knew she was on the deck, put no answer. I started to walk over to the deck calling her name to find out where and what she was doing. I knew she was up to something when she did not answer back or pop out so that I could see her. Then, all of a sudden there she was. In the little pool, clothes and all. When I could not see her it was because she was laying on her belly like she likes to do during the day and when I got closer she sat up. I could not help but laugh my butt off. I simply asked her "what are you doing?" Her response was exactly what I was expecting "pool" and then she patted the water next to her meaning that she wanted me to get it with her. I thought I was going to loose it I was laughing so hard now. I let her do her thing, while I finished cleaning the pool. Finally, it was time to pick up our daily outdoor mess and get ready for bed. I emptied her pool, put away the pool rafts, and so on. To turn around and find her yet again in the little pool, however this time it had no water and she did not like that. I tell you she loves the water man.

It is hard to tell but the temperature on the wall thermometer stated that it was 100.1 degrees outside on Tuesday at our house. Can you believe it? The thermometer is on the front porch in the shade, so this reading really tells you something. It was only 12:24 PM. Inside the house, it was 78.1 degrees. Now, you know why Josie and I are always in the pool.
