Presents

Ogdan wants to thank everyone for making his First Birthday Party so great! He was spoiled rotten by all the wonderful gifts. He loves every single thing he got. And so does his Big Sister. You would have thought the gifts were for her or something. She is constantly playing with all of them and letting Ogdan have them every once and a while.

Now, Ogdan can ride in style in his new clothes, in his new fire truck, reading his new books, cuddled up under his new blankets, singing songs into his new microphone.

Man, did he make out like a true bandit.

There are not that many photos because they all turned out blurry for the most part. To much movement going on in the photos to get a good one. Sorry!

Oh My Heavens

If you mention the word cake or ice cream Josie goes crazy. It is like Gods gift to her and her taste buds. I think she would eat cake every minute of the day if you would let her. If you mention the word party it is the very first thing that pops into her head. Not friends, presents, no CAKE! At Ogdan's first birthday party, Josie had enjoyed her large piece of cake and was eating her ice cream when I looked over and found this...

Nothing but making sure you get the very last little crumb. I think this is equivalent to a dog licking his/her bowl clean. My goodness child, you can have more later. You crack us up Josie!

The Man

Ogdan loved sharing his party time with the ones that love him best, all the family. Between the playing with all the kids running around the house. I was able to catch a few photos of Ogdan cuddling it up with a few of adult pals. Then off chasing the kids he would go again.

Yum...Cake...

I think Ogdan has found a new love in life besides his Mommy, Daddy, and Sissy...CAKE! He loved it! I mean what more could a one year old love than pure sugary cake. The little pig at all the first car that he could before starting to throw it on the ground. That is what he does when he is full and finished. He just simply starts to throw it on the floor. All I can say is if we had a dog they would be in heaven in the amount of table food that ends up on the floor after mealtime at our house. What gets me is after he gets down and he is ready for a snack he turns into a dog himself and comes over to his highchair and looks for left over food crumbs to snack on. It is a hoot! He gets really mad if I clean up the floor, because there is nothing left for him to snack on.

Take a look for yourself and see if you think Ogdan liked his cake.

Walking Fool

Ogdan is officially becoming a pro at walking. He has taken a step here and a step there for some time, but now he is a constant mover. He finally got the guts built up to give it a whirl and he is awesome. He started walking the day before his birthday. This is a day earlier than Josie. Josie started walking at her 1st birthday party, well Ogdan must be a little more advanced in the walking department because he beat her by one day. He walked half way across the kitchen all by himself and when he realized what he was doing got to excited started to laugh and fell down. It has been non-stop ever since. Slowly the crawling is coming to an end, which makes me want to cry. My little man is growing up.

Ogdan's First Birthday Cake

For Ogdan's First Birthday Cake party, I recreated Brent's first birthday cake. When Brent turned one 30 years ago, his Mom had a choo choo train cake made for him. Brent and I had a few ideas of the kind of cake I was going to make for Ogdan's birthday, but then photos were brought out of Brent's first birthday cake and the dilemma was solved. My recreation of the birthday cake is pretty close. I did some improvising and improving to fit the changing times, I mean it has been 30 years, but over all it looks very similar. Some changes that I made were, making a smaller version for Ogdan to have all on his own, a coal car to make the cake feed more people, and a railroad track.

If I can say so myself, it turned out pretty good given all I had was one small photo to go from.

Ogdan is One

Ogdan is officially ONE!

Can you believe that my little man is already one? It just seems like yesterday that he was just being born. He is just the perfect little man anyone could ask for. Always happy, never cranky, just easy going. He is just like his Daddy. Sorry, Ogdan. I have high hopes for him in the future and the adventures that he is going to have in his life are going to be great.

To my growing up little man, slow down. You are growing up to fast.
