Dear Santa....

Does everyone have their Dear Santa letters done yet??? Christmas is only 26 days away, did you hear me 26 days away. Crazy, huh! Brent and I went out the other night Christmas shopping and got most of it done. YEAH! I hate fighting the crowds after Thanksgiving to go out shopping, so we ventured out on Tuesday to get a good start and that is exactly what we did. After some shopping, we enjoyed dinner and a movie, Role Models. All of this was without our little peanut. Grandma and Grandpa Parker watched her. This was the 1st time since Josie has been born that Brent and I enjoyed dinner and a movie. Can you believe that? Josie is almost 15 months old and we had not enjoyed a date yet. It was nice, but we did miss her even though we were only gone for a few hours.

Lots of people have their very own traditions on Christmas, as do we. People have asked me is Santa is going to be treating Josie very well this year. Our Santa tradition is a little different from others. Santa only brings 1 gift. All of the other gifts are from Mommy and Daddy. All of Josie's gifts are under the tree the entire holiday season except the gift from Santa. Santa can only bring 1 gift, because he can only fit 1 gift per child in his bag.

Classroom

Lots of people have asked me what my classroom at school looks like, so I decided to post a few work photos. This classroom is still under construction. I still do not have everything the way that I want it and even now there are things that I would like to change and do differently. This is the teacher side of me, changing things to make them better. I want my classroom to appear as if I have been teaching there for a while, so it has lots of color that are very inviting and appears attractive to the eye. My classroom is the only classroom in the entire school that has 2 doors. Why? I do not know, but it makes it very unique. I love to display students hard work. Here are a few of my classroom photos. Enjoy!

Fall Fun

A few weeks ago, Josie and I ventured down to the good old hunting ground to spend some time with Daddy who was gone hunting. Josie hated to be all cooped up inside for to long and was getting a little restless, so we bundled her up in her winter jacket and outside we went for a little fresh air and fun. The wind was very cold, so we were not outside long, but had a blast for that short amount of time. She loved playing in the fall leaves. Her winter coat is a little big and reminds us from the movie Christmas Story "I can't put my arms down." Here are a few photos of our outdoor adventure.

Super Model

I love to take photos of Josie as all of you know. When we went to the park about a month ago, I took some really cute photos. Josie loves the camera, so it was so easy to snap away. Josie was watching the donkey's of course from a distance. She was memorized by them, as long as they stayed thier distance. Here are a few of the hundreds of photos taken that day. Do you think she is model potential? Look at the way she poses and does not even know it.

Blog/Computer Problems

I want to send out a quick post stating how sorry I am for the lack of posts lately. Recently, each time that I would get online to post something would go wrong. Either my computer would act up. Hence, the reason why Brent and I are buying one for eachother for Christmas or the Blog site had problems loading pictures. I hope that the problems have been resolved, because I have lots of posts and pictures to put on the blog.

Slide

In mid-October, Brent, Josie and I ventured to Wildlife Prairie Park for a little outdoor fun. Josie loves to be outside doing whatever. She just loves to be outdoors. We walked through the park, saw the animals, and oh course went down the long slide. Josie enjoyed the long ride. We thought maybe should would be a little scared, but that was not the case. Here are a few photos of Josie's first long slide ride.

MOUSE

My worst fear in life has come to close. I decided since today was such a gorgeous day outside that I would wash and wax the Explorer and get it ready for winter. Yuck, I hate winter. Anyways, so I was cleaning out the inside when I just about had a heart attack. At some time one of Josie's zip-lock bags of Cheerios had fallen out of her diaper bag and was on the floor in the back seat. Fine right?! WRONG!!!! Some thing, well a MOUSE had gotten into the bag by eating a whole through it. How can I confirm this, well it had left me a few presents if you know what I mean on the floor. How in the world can it get inside of the car? So, the Explorer got an over haul. Everything came out. I vacuumed it out, through away the gum, so there is ABSOLUTELY NO food in the car. I cleaned out the council, glove box, you name it I did it. I no trace of the mouse thank god. I just pray that however it got in the car, it got out. If I come across it when driving down the road, I know right now I will have a wreck.

I am deadly afraid of mice. The other day I thought I heard a mouse while getting Josie in the car to go to the sitters house. However, I just thought it was in the garage, so I hurried and got out to the garage, but now I know it is in the car with me. OH MY GOD!

Please say a prayer that it has found a new home outside of the car, so that I do not have a car accident and hurt myself and/or Josie.

I'll Cast A Spell On You

I know from the online voting that most of you would have liked to see Josie be a SKUNK this year for Halloween, but she was not. I put the costume on her yesterday and the poor girl was misrable. She had outgrown the costume and could not walk in it, it was scrunching up her face, and was skin tight. I could not do that to my little stinker, so instead she went as the cutest WITCH anyone has ever seen. She was such a big girl she walked in the entire parade and never got tired. While in the parade she even sported her famous broomstick. It was adorable. Everyone we pasted said she was the cutest Witch that they ever saw, however Josie did not win anything in the costume contest this year. In fact, I do not even know who did other than they said they were older kids. Josie's age range is Newborn-5, which I think is to big of a range. I think it should be Newborn-2 and 3-5. There are always so many kids in this Newborn-5 range. We made it around doing all of Josie's trick-or-treating and she came home with lots of goodies. Well what good old "Uncle" Wally did not feed her. He was giving her Smarties left and right last night. I was sure that she would not sleep because she was on a sugar high, but she slept very well. The only reason why I allowed him to feed her candy was because we were not done trick-or-treating and it was past her bedtime and she was ready to go night-night. Otherwise Josie's sugar intake is slim-to-none. Here are a few photos of our little Witch on her 2nd Halloween.

I'm Melting! I'm Melting! Oh, What A Wonderful World!
