I was out of commission all weekend. I came home from work on Friday an hour and a half early sicker than a dog. At work, I only have two options either to take a full day off of work or a half day. I can not just take off an hour early or anything. So, Friday I wasted some time and had to take the half day to leave a little early. I started out the morning just fine feeling. However, by lunchtime I did not feel well. I ate some lunch thinking it would help me feel better since I do not eat breakfast that the last thing I ate was dinner the night before. Well, within an hour I was running up and down the hall to the bathroom getting sick while another teacher watched my class. I had all 5 of my classroom windows opened all the way freezing the kids out and I was sweating. They kept asking me to close the windows. They were even asking to get their coats from their lockers. After about 30 minutes I could not take it anymore. I called the office made them scramble around someone to cover my classroom and home I came.
I barely made it home. And the battle began. I raced back and forth from bed to the bathroom for 9 hours. When the bad part of the battle was over a winner was declared. Lets just say the toilet won this time, hands down.
However, I was not the only one that was sick. About 6 PM Brent came upstairs to me and said that Josie was getting sick all over the basement. She had told him she didn't feel well and did not eat her favorite meal for supper, pizza. She kept complaining that her tummy hurt. So, in bed with me she came while Brent slept in her bed away from all of the germs. She would wake up in her sleep throwing up. The sheets got nasty, pillows, jammies, comforter, and lets not forget the already sick Mommy.
On Saturday after a long brutal night, Josie was back to normal, Brent was beginning to feel ill and had to go to work and I was still not feeling up to par. I was extremely tired, ached all over, and I had a pounding headache. Debbie came over Saturday to watch the kids for me for a while I got in the shower to get all of the nasty germs off (and Josie also) and take a much needed nap. I did not sleep much the night before so a good nap was needed. When I got up after about a 2 hour really good nap, Debbie went home and the kids and I then took a 2 1/2 hour nap. Rock on kids! Thanks Debbie for your help.
Sunday, was the same story. I still was not up to par yet, still really tired, headache, and body ached. I even had a fever. I took the kids to Debbie's house for a while so that I could go up to the school and prepare some things just in case I was not at school on Monday. With this nasty bug who knows what it was going to entail.
I am feeling much better now, but still really sleepy.

Buckle Up
Ogdan loves to drive the Flinestone car. In fact, he gets mad at Josie if she is in it and tries to either get in with her or pull her out. I do not know what it is with this car, but it was a hit when Josie was little and is yet a hit again. He can barely see over the steering wheel, but it does not stop him from having a good time in it. Josie loves to push him in it and he laughs supper hard when she does because for him I am sure it is like a roller coaster going at such a high rate of speed.

Teeth
What do you think of my new and improved smile?
Ogdan has had 3 teeth coming in now for a few weeks, well tooth #4 is officially here. That means he now has his top 2 front teeth and bottom 2 front teeth. With these little chompers his looks have definatley changed. He is no longer a boy with an old man smile (toothless) but a has little boy smile (with teeth). Man, they grow up so fast. Teething for him as everything is a breeze. He is not crabby, or biting boy. He is calm, cool, and collected. I told Brent that since he went so long with no teeth he was going to get them all at once and that is what he is doing. He is getting them like they are going out of style. I just hope though that this is all for a little while that way these get in all the way before his next one comes.

While Sissy Is Gone Ogdan Can Play
Josie spent the night at her Grandma Debbie's House on Sunday, January 16th. I did not have school on Monday and she didn't have work either. Meaning that Ogdan and I got some much needed Mommy and Son time. Brent was working so it was just us to party animals. Debbie was going to bring back Josie around lunchtime, but their plans changed. Josie had a little lunch date and shopping with her Grandma, Aunt, and Great-Grandma before returning home around 5 PM. Meaning Ogdan and I had the entire day to ourselves. Ogdan was in heaven. No one to steal toys from him, yell at him, or hurt him in any way. He would crawl over to Josie's door look at me, give me this evil look of I am going to do something I know if Josie was home I would get yelled at for and go barreling into her room. He played with her toys that normally she would yell at him for (well depending on the toy), but since she was gone he got to play with them all. He even makes this weird laugh now sometimes that is kind of evil. I eventually had to close her door just to keep him out. I did not want him to damage something of hers or find something small and choke.
So, instead of playing in her room he raided the kitchen. He loves to dig out pots and pans. At the sitters, the kids clear out her cabinets and get inside and play. So, at home he tries to do the same, but can not get them open. This makes him very upset. But the one that he can get into is the towel drawer. He loves taking out all of the towels. So, that is exactly what he did. When I asked him what he was doing he just flashed his adorable smile and started to chuck more out. That was until I caught him trying to get into the drawer that I had to draw the line. I did not want his chunky butt breaking the drawer and I am sure Brent would have killed me for that one.
Overall, we missed Josie, but we had fun just Mommy and Ogdan.

11 Months Old
Here he is sporting his redneckiness!
In a month Ogdan will be 1 already! Can you believe that? He has grown so much in the past year and even within the last month. He is just now starting to eat baby food, is walking while holding on to items, has taken 3 steps at the most (this was a 1 time thing though), and has got in 3 teeth all within the last month. Man, he is an over achiever. I just still can not believe in a month he will be 1. Where has the time gone?

Where Did Ogdan Go?
Our little man is all ready for deer season. He has everything that he needs to stay hidden to get the big one. You know what does being a boy entail other than sporting camouflage. Ogdan got some really cute camo for Christmas and he loves to sport it. My father and Becky got his the most adorable camo shoes (which he wears daily) and a camo outfit that he will soon grow into. Brent and I got him a camouflage union suit, baseball hat, and coat to go with his camo stocking cap he got at the beginning of winter. When he is all in gear you can hardly see him he is so well blended into his surroundings.
I had to include this photo of Josie in her camo. Brent and I also had to buy her some camo for Christmas. Who says girls don't wear camo? Well in this family we do.

Future Little Miss
Josie has been wanting me to do her make-up for sometime now, so I thought why not. She was to have a bath anyways, so what the hey I thought. She was caught starting to put it on herself so I just helped her finish what she had already started. We did the works. Foundation. Blush. Eye Shadow. Eye Liner. Mascara. Lipstick. You name it we put it on. What a pure beauty queen she became. She wanted to surprise her Daddy with her new look before he got home from work or else we would have done her hair also. But we did get the painted nails squeezed in in time.
What do you think, could she be the next Little Miss? To us she is.

Redneck
I have a pair of blue jeans that I just absolutely LOVE! You know that kind of pair that you have worn so much they are like paper thin. We all have something like that. Something that we love so much we just simply can not even desire getting rid of. Perhaps it is a shirt or pair of pants, whatever it is it is just way to comfortable to get rid of. Well, my pair of jeans was just that.
On Fridays at work it is casual days, so jeans we can wear. YEAH! Well, I decided to wear my favorite pair of pants for the very last time ever to school on Friday. After wearing them to school they were going to go in the trash can. They did not look bad or anything. I love them because they are the only pair of jeans I have/can find that I do not have to wear some sort of heals with and I can wear my tennis shoes without stepping on the pant leg.
So, on this Friday I wore my favorite pants I get to school to start my day and bump into the corner of a table and it was all over. I looked down to find that it had ripped a hole in my pants. Thank goodness it was above the knee. Great I thought to myself now what. I did not want to go home and change because the weather was not all that good, also because of the lack of time I had until class began. So, I improvised. I put a piece of masking tap over the hole that was about a little over an inch long. I taped the inside and outside of my pants. Talk about white trashy and redneck. Put hey it was smart thinking. All day long, I had students come up to me and stated "did you know you have tape on your pants?" I kept responding "Oh is that where I put that?!? Silly." My co-workers got a hoot out of my situation. At least I did not rip the butt out of my pants I kept thinking. Well, at least I could have tied my sweatshirt around that.
So, I went all day with white trashy, redneck pants to come home and want to cry as I placed my beloved pair of favorite jeans into the trash can. If I only now could find a new favorite replacement. Until then healed shoes you are my friend.

First Movie Adventure
Over Christmas vacation, we dropped Ogdan off for a little Grandma and Grandpa time and to the movies Brent, Josie and I went. Ogdan has never had his Grandma and Grandpa all to himself before, so he was in hog heaven. No one else to steal the toys from him, no one to take away his Grandma and Grandpa attention. He loved it!
This was the very first movie Josie had ever seen on the big screen and she was just amazed. We went to go and see the movie Tangled. Josie loved this movie, as did Brent and I! If you have not seen the movie and are looking for a good kids movie this is one to see. We will be purchasing this film when out on DVD for sure. She came out saying lines from the movie when we left. We allowed her to eat popcorn and drink soda pop during the movie. This was a special privilege for a special day. We decided that day that we will be doing this again soon. Our next movie on the big screen with Josie will be Gnomeo and Juliet.

Happy New Year
On New Years Eve, we ventured over the Debbie and Terry's house for dinner. We are not big on going out on New Years Eve since it is packed everywhere, plus we want to ring in the New Year with our children. Brent had to work on Saturday anyways. Josie and Ogdan was stayed up till midnight to ring in the New Year. Wow, I have some party animals. Josie even got some special sparkling juice to drink at midnight, which she LOVED! To top it off, she drank it from a special cup.
Ogdan entertained us by singing. He has a facination with microphones. Debbie had gotten out thier old karekee machine and Ogdan is all over that. He kept singing us songs into. He is our future lead singer in the family.
