We all have different names for the nice invention that we call the toilet. Some of you may call it by a different name. Some may call it the can, toilet, crapper, shitter, potty, or whatever else your wildest dreams can imagine. This wonderful invention has a great purpose and we all know what that is. But here in our house its duties are not just limited to the obvious. Our toilet also has the job of step stool and chair.
Every night, Josie has her bedtime routine. This routine includes using the restroom as intended then using the toilet as a stool to get up to the sink to brush her little teeth. That way she can spit in the sink when she is finished "like Daddy" she will tell you.
Over time, our toilet gets a little abused, obviously. Our toilet seat broke from Josie climbing up and down to get to the sink, so we broke down and had to buy a new one. Well, let me just tell you Brent got an ear full for that one.
Over the weekend, we purchased our new toilet seat and Brent finially installed it. Last night was Josie's first time on the new seat. She is boycotting her potty and has to go on the "Big Potty" she says. She is a big girl, so she has to go on the big girl potty. Well, lets just say it did not go that well. She is still to short to get up on her own so she either has to have up put her on the potty or she uses her step stool. Last night, I placed her up on the toilet and I got this look from her that just about made me pee my pants. I asked her what was wrong. I wish I had a picture of the face she gave me. Her response was "I don't like this new toilet! I don't like it at all!" I lost it. She kept telling me how much she really did not like the new toilet the rest of her bedtime routine.
Her complaining did not stop there. After we are done with our bathroom bedtime routine, then we get in bed and finish our routine. This includes getting all tucked in, calling Daddy at work if he is there to say our goodnights, read a book, then she reads Mommy the same book, then to sleep we go. So, when she called Brent on the phone what did she do but complain. This was the first thing she told him. "Daddy I don't like this toilet at all. I don't like it. Get a new one!" Again I lost it. What a very opinionated little girl we have. I told her that this was our new seat and that is that. She instructed me to take it back and get a new one. OMG! Sometimes I wonder about her.
So, word of advise. If Josie is coming to your house, you better have a good crapper seat or you will hear all about how she doesn't like it. I am still hearing about it today.
