"Zebra!"

We had an absolute blast at the zoo. Josie could not get enough of all of the cool exotic animals that we do not see everyday. It was rather difficult to get really good photos of her looking at the camera due to her high interest in the animals. She wanted to look at them and not at the camera of course. Her favorite animals were the zebras in which she learned how to say zebra on the trip and the prairie dogs because they were the most active animal that we saw.

They have a penguin exhibit in which you walk in and could literaly touch the penguins they were that close. It was to dark in the exhibit that the camera did not want to take photos, plus they were to busy playing in the water that water was flying everywhere. Brent did not like that one minute to have penguin water dripping off of him. We did not stay very long in the exhibit due to this.

Josie got to ride on the Merry-Go-Round at the zoo, again which she loved. We also took a ride on the train or as Josie calls it the Choo-Choo. She loved riding along seeing all of the different animals. I have to say I think she may have liked this the most.

After a long hard day looking at all of the animals, she was wore out. Poor little girl. However, if you ask her about her vacation she gets all excited!

Merry-Go-Round

While on vacation, Josie found a new love the Merry-Go-Round. While at Grant's Farm and the Zoo, she rode on them and love it. She chose to ride on a horse and a penguin. They were not the stationary kind, so they would move up and down. She thought it was a trip. She laughed, smiled, and screamed and cried when it stopped. Brent and I were actually quite shocked that she enjoyed the rides as much as she did. Here are a few photos of our little one having a ball on the Merry-Go-Rounds.

First Happy Meal!

I know most of you are going to think "about time," but what can I say. On vacation, Josie enjoyed her very own first Happy Meal from McDonald's. Usually, when we dine out at McDonald's she just simply shares with Mommy and Daddy. All she really wants is the fries and perhaps a few bites of our sandwiches, but not much at all. For the money, we just don't think she will eat enough of it to actually pay for her to have her own meal. However, when we were on vacation I told Brent lets just get her her own meal and see how well she does. To our surprise she did great! She was a little hungry we could tell. She ate all of her fries (which was a given) and about half of the sandwich. What a big girl! However, when it came time for dinner she was not a very hungry gal.

Potty!

As most of you know, Josie LOVES her baby doll. She can not take a nap or go to bed at night without it. Ever since this Spring when she was sick and we let her sleep with it now she has to have it. In fact, her baby doll does a lot of things with her. We have kind of been working on the whole potty training thing, but as of vacation time I did not push it very much. However, starting tomorrow we are going full steam ahead with the training. Anyway, while on vacation she was holding her baby and going "potty, baby potty" this was right after Brent had went tot he bathroom and she cheered for him. How cute! Anyways, we were soaking up the free cable and off went Josie with the baby doll into the bathroom. Next thing, I could hear her start to cheer, jiggle the toilet handle trying to flush it and out she came minus the baby. I asked her where the baby was and she responded "akie, bath." I went into the bathroom thinking I would find her baby in the toilet however it was not there. She had first placed it in the toilet and got its butt wet and then placed it in the shower and closed the curtain to take a bath. What a journey that baby had on vacation. Good thing Mommy was smart to bring 2 babies on vacation, because that one stayed akie until we got home.

This cracked Brent and I up to no end.

Turtle Park

While on vacation, we ventured to a location called Turtle Park. It was a small little area, I would not really call it a park that had turtles made out of cement. They were large replicas of turtles that children could climb on and such. Josie thought that they were pretty cool at times. Here are a few photos from playing with the turtles.

Josie thought that if she told the turtle to go that it would move. To funny!

After she sat up on the turtle, I told her she was sitting on top of the giant turtle and she was so surprised. Can you tell?

Just resting her head on the turtles head.

Giving the turtle a little Josie kiss.

Getting ready to take a nap.

Giving the turtle a hug.

Here is Josie yelling at Mommy for something. Whent she gets mad she shakes her little finger at you and tells you "no."

Just laughing and having a good time.

There was another little girl there that was rolling down the hill and scooting on her butt and Josie thought it looked fun enough to also give it a try.

Josie thought that since she is going to be turning 2 shortly she no longer needed Mommy's help upon the tall cement made turtle and was telling me "back." AKA get out of her photo.

When I did not move out of her way she started to yell at me.

Josie got a bug on her lip and she started spitting. Very lady like Josie!

Gotta Love the Goats

While at Grant's Farm, Brent and Josie went in to feed the goats some bottles or as Josie calls it "ba ba." There were tons of baby goats all in a pin waiting for people to bring in the precious bottle of milk to feed them. Brent and Josie were suckered in to the center where they were attacked by some very hungry goats. It was like they saw the bottle and went mad. Good thing Brent was holding Josie or else they would have trampled over her to get the bottle. Brent was holding Josie because she was not to fond of the goats up close like she is with most animals. She likes them from a distance but if they get in her personal space she does not like it one bit. So, he was holding Josie in one arm and 2 milk bottles in the next all while trying to defend himself and Josie from some crazy milk loving goats. Everything was going good until the white one started to jump up to retrieve the bottle. Which ultimately scared Josie because the goat jumps on her and touched her. Again, in her bubble. The goat got a little kick friendly and got Brent in a place where most men do not like to get injured. I thought he was going to kick the goat to Timbuktu. Josie did get to feed the goat a bottle, but lets just say I do not think she will be doing that again for a while.

Daddy and Josie getting a good look at the goats before feeding them.

The goat kept touching Josie's leg and she did not like it one bit.

What a good Mommy Josie would make. She was feeding the goat their bottle.

If only the goat could talk it would probably tell Josie to feed them already.

Gotta love the goats!
