First Roller Coaster

Who would have thought that Josie would be going on her very first large roller coaster at the age of 4!  On vacation, the zoo had a roller coaster.  Can you believe that?!?  Josie was tall enough to go and since Daddy hates roller coaters Mommy went on it with her.  She had a blast! 

 

Feeding a Giraffe!

Have you ever fed a giraffe?  Well, Josie has!  On vacation, she had an opportunity to feed a giraffe.  The zoo keepers gave her a carrot and the giraffes came right up to her to eat the yummy treat.  Two giraffes came to snack a baby and mommy.  Josie decided she was going to feed the baby one.  It was quite funny the giraffes knew exactly when they were going to get snacks and came right up on cue.  This is something Josie will never forget. 

 

Vacation 2012 Part 1

For this years family vacation we visited Indiana.  Brent's friend Walter moved over there for work, so we made a stop to visit with him for a little bit before heading to Indianapolis.  We went to a giant park and small zoo close to where his friend lives and then headed to Indianapolis to go to the zoo there.  The kids loved it!  It was really hot as it has been the last few years on vacation.  You would think I would learn not to plan a vacation the last week in July.  The zoo was great!  We were really excited to see the dolphins in their dome where you get to stand in the middle of the tank and they swim around you.  We didn't get to see the dolphin show however because they recently had little babies.  We were hoping to see them, but they would not let you :( Overall, we had a great vacation even with the heat.  I was just suprised we got a hotel room, because we learned the Brick Yard 500 was the same weekend.  Call that luck or what.

First Movie

On July 16th, Brent and Nash dropped Josie, Ogdan, and I off at the movie theater to see the Lorax.  The local movie theater features one children's movie a week at 10 AM for only $1 per person.  So, Brent and Nash ran a few errands while we enjoyed the movie.  This was Ogdan's first time at the movie theater and he did great.  I was not sure if he would be able to sit through it all or not, but did great.  It was really crowded, well what would you expect for 100 degree days and only $1 to get in.  The first 20 minutes Ogdan just sat in the booster seat with the giant tub of popcorn and stared at the screen.  He was in amazement.  I then told him he could eat the popcorn and drink his soda pop and he was really excited.  He never gets popcorn and soda, that was until now.  Now, all he wants is soda.  Man, he is definetley my child.

The movie was great and we all had a great time.  To top it all off, Ogdan was so young, I didn't even have to pay for him!  I guess I made up for his $1 ticket price though with $14 popcorn and soda.

2nd Lost Tooth

Can you believe it Josie just lost a tooth the other day and already we have lost tooth #2!  We were out playing and eating dinner at Jamie and Jason's house when she said it was really wiggly.  Brent asked to look and it and them pulled it out and she didn't even know it.  She really looks silly now with her two bottom front teeth missing.  Josie you are going up to fast.  Stop!

Nash has Teeth

Nash may only be 6 months old, but he is now getting to be a big boy. He has his very first tooth. I can not believe it. Josie and Ogdan did not get teeth till older, but Nash is in a hurry I guess.  However, what is really funny is the fact that once Josie lost a tooth within 24 hours Nash gained the exact tooth she lost.  Weird!  What a growing boy.

1st Lost Tooth

Josie has officially lost her very first tooth and she is not even 5 yet. I could not believe it. She was chewing on a piece of gum when she came into the kitchen with blood running down her face holding something. All I could think of was she hit her mouth playing round and busted her lip. Brent said "You are never going to believe this. Look!" Much to my surprise she had lost her very first tooth just simply chewing on a piece of gum. Man, my little girl is growing up fast.  (1st Tooth Lost May 24th)
