Ogdan's Fun in the Sun
Ogdan may only be three months old, but he knows how to have fun in the sun like his big sissy. He has adorable little manly swimming trunks with a matching hat to sport this summer even. Since, Debbie and Terry's pool is not installed yet (only a few more days) the kids play in thier hot tub instead. They have a blast! He loves the water if it it warm enough and goes to town kicking his little feet.

Fun in the Sun
Today, we went over to my sister Jamie' house for some Memorial Day fun.l The kids had a blast! The afternoon started off with a little t-ball then quickly moved into "Mom can I get in the pool? Jacob is in it. Just my feetsies Mommy." It was so hot out I could not disappoint my little girl, but knew just her feet was not going to be the only thing that gets wet. Sure enough, minutes later the kids are splashing each other with water and they are drenched from head to toe. Good thing I remembered her swimming suit. I had a feeling this would happen. They had a good time in the pool. Jacob dominated the hose most of the time squirting Josie. When the tables were turned he was not so fond of it. Josie would squirt him and he would go high tailing it in the opposite direction that was until Josie turned her back then he would come back. However, I think that was her plan because as soon as he got close she would quickly turn around and get him soaked. The kids even tried to get us wet thinking it was hilarious.

I'm going to get you Mommy.

You can run Jacob, but you can't hide.

Fun in the sun
Then, came the time for Jacob to break out his 4-wheeler. He came cruising up on it was a smile on his face from ear to ear. Josie got all excited. However, she was quickly told that she could not drive it "Josie its for boys only boys can drive this red 4-wheeler." I told him that girl can do it too, but was shot down "no only boys Aunt Jenny." Next, thing I know I see this image go flying past me.

Josie had climbed on the back and off they went. This little baby can scoot now. I know what all of you are thinking two kids riding a 4-wheeler under the age of 4 and no helmets. I know. I know. Plus, no shoes.

Having a blast

Beach or Bust!
Get the chairs, towels, sunscreen, and toys...vacation here we come. My sister and her family and I have been working hard since like March to get vacation plans all put together. Well, the day has finally come and we decided and booked a place!!! YEAH!! The kids are pumped, we are pumped, so move over sand here we come. For 7 wonderful days in July, we will be soaking up the sun with our feet rested in the sand. We are so excited! I told Josie about our wonderful plans and she keeps asking me when we are goin to the beach. It is going to be a long summer if she keeps asking, but when the day finally arrives it is going to be great.

Up in Smoke
Ok, so where did I leave off...Oh yeah. The boys hauled the garage, which was now in pieces on the ground over to a pile where we tend to like to burn items. Brent used the tractor to help assist in the hauling of the garage. Ok, so now what to do with the pile?!? Well, if you guessed have a big wienie roast you are correct. That is exactly what we did minus the hot dogs. Once it got dark at the house, Brent set the garage blazing. It was no longer dark at our house. Come on if you did not guess that Brent would lite it up, then you must not know my pyromaniac husband. The flames were huge. He wanted to just light it right where it sat, however it was to close to the propane tank and the house. He did not want to set either one of those on fire or melt the house siding. At times, I thought perhaps my contacts were going to melt to my eyes it was so hot. The fire burned for about 24 hours from start to finish. Brent kept a good eye on it with not turning in until after 4 AM Sunday morning. Lets just say it was the first fire of the summer and a good one at that.

The garage has had its last and final meal and ready for the ultimate destruction by fire.

Demolition!!!!!
So, Saturday started with making sure that all the electrical was stripped out of the garage, the window removed, door taken out, garage door taken apart, which only left the garage naked. It had been stripped of everything that was of any use and the only thing left to do was demo. You know the fun stuff! This is where the boys had a blast. Each one of the guys grabbed their manly tool (hammer, sledge hammer you name it) and went to town. They started on one wall. It took them literally a minute to knock all of the wooden siding off of the garage. They were having way to much fun. Hammers were flying and hooting and hollering were soaring. At one time the entire garage shook. At that point, the guys bolted out of there. We were all thinking this could collapse on top of them at any moment. They decided to see if the tractor would push it over, so Brent went to retrieve it. However, Bryant and Blake wanted to test their strength and thought perhaps they could man it over. They grabbed the sides and started shaking. The garage was a rocking. And you know what they say "when a garage is rocking....RUN!" All of a sudden, we heard this crack, crack, crack then BOOM!!!! Down the garage went. It collapsed. We could not believe it. It took hardly any effect considering it was a fully constructed garage to cave in on itself. Hooting and hollering filled the air. We could not believe our eyes. At this point, Bryant and Blake were in hog heaven thinking they were Hercules or something. It was amazing! After seeing how easy it was to knock over, Brent and I could not believe that we actually housed our vehicles inside of it. I was in worse shape then we had originally thought. The boards were even more rotted and paper thin at a lot of places. The roof was extremely bad. Blake got on the roof and with no effort at all put the sledge hammer through the roof like it was a tissue. There was nothing to it. There were times when we thought it was going to fall through the roof you could see it bowing. When we went to move it in crumbed in places because the boards were so rotted that they just fell apart. The garage was then hauled over to a pile.
Stay tuned for more exciting news on our demo project. Next, will be the removal of the garage. This is something you will not want to miss.

Garage at the start of the day

The boys having fun doing a little demo work.

I love this photo! All three of the boys are getting ready to take a swing.

Man that was a lot of work, but only took literally one minute to do.

Getting more naked by the minute.

With a huff and a puff, I'll shake your garage down.

Back view of the knocked down garage

Knock, Knock is anybody home?

I'm on top of the world! I mean the garage.

You just know the day would not be complete or you know that this garage can not be torn down without the tractor. That would be crazy.

Hee-HO

We found where the mice were lining. In where the gutters were. YUCK!

The hole in the roof from the sledge hammer.

Now, what?!?

Is anybody there?

Time to pick up this mess

No turning back now.

Its a goner

See you later Aligator!
FYI - Today's post is going to take a while, so there will be several parts to this posting.
In case you did not know, Brent and I have decided to embark on a very large journey this summer. We have decided to postpone the much needed addition to the house to rebuild our garage. We have outgrown our house, but at this moment in time we feel that a new state of the art garage is more important. So, we decided that we would have to demolish the garage, break up the concrete and start from scratch to rebuild. Why you might ask are we doing that and it is quite easy. The siding was falling off, but when you go to attach it there is nothing to connect to. The gutters are hanging on by a thread and again when you go to connect them there is nothing to connect to. Some shingles are missing and yet again can not be reattached. The garage is in extremely bad shape. The cement is majorly cracked and at different levels. It leaves us nothing else, but to start over. The loan papers have been signed, plans have been constructed and a timeline in place. The only thing left to do is DEMO!
We will be rebuilding this garage on our own, so it will be a summer to remember as neither of us has ever built a garage ourselves. Pray for us that we get through this summer alive.

The garage is getting quite empty.

The property before the demo begins.

See you later garage.

Demo has begun and the garage door is slowly coming down

No more siding

Take a look at these boards. They are really old moldy and rotted.

The windows and door are gone.

3 Months Old
Our "Little Man" turned 3 months old already. Can you believe it? Sunday was his 3 month birthday. Happy 3 Month Birthday Ogdan! Where has the time gone? Before long, he will be rolling over. He has excellent head control and is really strong. Well, you know he has to be strong because his big sissy can hold her own weight.

What Wants To See Anyways?!?
We all know as we age our hearing and sight for some odd reason start slipping away. Well, here at our house Josie is making sure that at least the seeing part happens sooner or later. The other day I was in the kitchen picking up and she was playing in the other room. I heard the flushing of the toilet and thought nothing of it since she goes to the bathroom "all by herself." Let me just tell you she does not want any help at least not once you get her up on the big girl potty. So, later on in the morning I went to go and use the restroom and ran across this...

yes if you look really close that is a box of contact lenses. I was floored. She has never placed anything in the toilet before, which I have been happy about up to this point. When I asked her where the items are that were in the box her response was "down there" and pointed down the toilet. I said "you flushed them?" "Yeah Mommy I did it all by myself! Happy!" Ahh, not quite. We then had to have a 5 minute talk about not putting anything in the potty and flushing it. That the potty is not a toy and can only be used for certain purposes. I just can not believe she did this. I can not be 100% certain, but if I can recall this was a new box that housed for me 5 more months worth of seeing for one of my eyes. What an expensive flush that was. I can only pray this will not happen again.
