Happy New Years Eve!

Another year has some how past us all by. Man, does time fly when you get old. I was just thinking last year at this time I had just found out that I was pregnant and now Josie is almost 4 months old. What a year can bring.

We have no real plans for this evening. Brent and I do not like to be out and about with all the drunk drivers out and about. And now that Josie is around we definitely do not want to be on the road with all of those who do not drink and drive responsibly.

We hope that everyone has a safe evening and of course lots of fun.

Worn Out After A Busy Holiday

As I have said before, Josie had a busy holiday. Through it all she was a trooper. Here is a cute photo from our holiday fun.

One Cool Baby!

Isn't she adorable? Santa brought Josie these awesome shades in her stocking. I can not wait until this summer when she is sporting these shades and her ittsy bittsy teeny weenie polka dot bikini. Now, all we need is a swimming pool to get the party started!

Baby's First Christmas!

This Christmas came and went so very fast. It makes me want to cry. There will never be a first Christmas again for Miss Josie. Next Christmas, she will be 15 months old and may even be walking or close to it by then and eating real food. However, I know it will be filled with lots more fun. She will be able to open her own gifts and play with them.

As they say, cherish the now.

Isn't she so cute with her trap door on her butt!

Take a look at those cheeks!

Santa Came, Santa Came!

We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I know that we sure did. We ate lots of food (way to much0, had way to many laughs (our tummies hurt), and had way to much fun.

Josie did not wake up Christmas morning until around 11 AM. Can you believe that? And that was because I woke her up. The family was coming to eat at 2 and Debbie and Terry were going to be over between 12:30 and 1. So I had to wake her to get everything done in time. She loved looking at all of the sparkly wrapping paper and bows. She did not quite get to open the gifts herself this year, but was very excited. Her legs were kicking and she was talking up a storm. I thought I did well not buying lots of stuff this year, but when I was opening all of the gifts I found that I had bought more than I thought. Oh, well she is my angel and gets whatever she wants. Just ask Brent! She is only this little for a while so why not spoil her while I can. In our house, Santa only brings one present and fills her stocking. Mommy and Daddy bring the rest. This is because Santa can not fit all you want in his bag.

Josie was such a good girl this holiday season. We had lots of places to go and lots of people to see and overall she did very well considering. She stayed up way past her bedtime for the past week and is now starting to get back into the swing of things. Thank goodness! I did not work that hard to get her on an excellent schedule for nothing. She goes to bed between 8 and 9 and gets up around 10. She only gets up once between that time around 5:30 and eats and then back to bed she goes.

Merry Christmas To All, And To All A Goodnight

We hope everyone is having a joyful holiday season filled with joy, laughter, and of course lots and lots of food. We have a busy next few days with eating here and eating there, we all know how the holidays are. Running, running, running. That is all that we do. But in the mist of all of that we give thanks for what we have been given. It is better to give than to receive. But this year we received a special gift of course you all know what it is, Josie.

This Christmas will be a magical one that we will always remember. Last year, it was our first Christmas as finally being husband and wife and now this year it is a family (mom, dad, and child). We can not wait to have Santa come and see her reaction to all of her cool new gifts.

Merry Christmas to all....

...and to all a goodnight!

It Is Not A Party Until Someone Gets Naked!

On Friday night, Josie and I went to a Girls Night party at Grandma Debbie's and had a good old time. Daddy went to Man night at Uncle Blake's house to play poker. We had so much fun without Daddy that we did not get home until around 1 AM. Can you believe that? I can't it was way past both of our bed times. Josie was a trooper a little cranky at times, but what is to expect when she usually goes to be at 8 PM.

Now for the title of my post "It Is Not A Party Until Someone Gets Naked!" Most people know that when alcohol gets involved more than likely someone somehow ends up loosing articles of clothing. Well, you more than likely would not expect this at a all girls party, but it happened. The person was not even drinking. Well, anything but milk.

Yes, that is Josie got NAKED! She loves to be just in her diaper, which may be an problem in the future but for now is really really cute.

Grandpa's Pumpkin

It has been brought to my attention that there has not been a photo of Josie with Grandpa Terry on the site since Josie was born so...Drum Roll Please! Here is a cute one for your viewing pleasure.

Best Christmas Present Ever!

World's cutest gift!

This Christmas is going to be the best ever, with many more to come. Josie is the best gift that I could ever want and I am truly blest with that. Being a parent is wonderful, in my opinion! I would not change a thing in my life. I have a wonderful husband, gorgeous daughter, and a great family. Life is good!

Merry Christmas!

From our family to yours, we want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Worlds Smallest Snow Angel

With all of this snow that has landed on the ground over the past weekend, Josie could not resist wanting to go explore the world. After days of arguing with her that she is far to small to play in the snow, I gave in for literally one minute. The thermometer stated it was 39 degrees outside and the wind was not blowing, so I bundled her up and out in the snow we went. We were only outside long enough to make a cute snow angel, which took seconds to make and then in we went. Isn't is so cute!?

She is mad that I put her down. She has been very clingy the last few days. If I put her down she screams if I do not play with her or if she can not see me.

Our finished product!

Fired Up! Ready To Go!

Let me be the first to introduce you to the worlds youngest voter! Complements of Grandma Debbie, Josie is sporting a Obama onesie. I am not saying that Josie per-say is a supporter, but Debbie is a HUGE Obama supporter. We have not decided who we are going to vote for in the upcoming election and more than likely will not tell who we are voting for. But I am sure that if Obama is not our choice Grandma Debbie may disown us all together.

"Fired Up! Ready To Go!" if only Josie could speak actual words that may have been what she was screaming about this morning.

I'm Still Smaller Than Teddy!

She loves her Christmas teddy. The bear is bigger than she is. Isn't that funny!

She always sits with her hand rested on her tummy! We think it is so cute! Her she is sporting an outfit from our dear friends Kymm and Bob. Thanks! She looks adorable in it.

Take Me For A Ride!

Jacob recieved a wagon from Grandpa Dave for his birthday. He loved taking it for a ride around the house.

Boy, Am I Loved!

Josie soaked up all the love she could get being held by everyone that would hold her at Jacob's party!

Are You Going To Eat All Of That?!

Josie could not believe that Jacob ate all of his cupcake and did not even offer any to anyone else. He scarfed the whole thing down in a flash. Lets just say he was on a major sugar rush afterwords.

They are 9 months apart! What a difference in size.
See he is not that messy of an eater!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

It is so hard to believe that Jacob is already ONE! It just seems like yesterday that I sat patiently in a crappy hospital folding chair in a tiny waiting area for 6 hours to see Jacob arrive on this earth. I bet my sister, Jamie, can hardly believe it also.

To help celebrate his big day, we enjoyed a wonderful birthday party on Saturday in his honor. He was such a trooper. He was given his own cupcake to eat and can you believe this that little monster ate the entire thing. What a big boy! He did pretty well in my opinion. He received lots of fun and exciting gifts that will bring many hours of entertainment for all. However, someone should have bought Jamie and Jason some ear plugs. Oh, well. Maybe, next year.

Happy Number One Jacob!

Santa Baby!

Our little sunshine met Old Saint Nick today for the very first time. At Brent’s work they had a Breakfast with Santa, where you come and enjoy yummy breakfast food and tell Santa all that you want for Christmas. She was such a perfect little angel, just simply sat on Santa’s lap and was good. She never made one little peep the entire time we were there. If Santa can read minds I am sure that she told him all that she wants this year and more.

I tried to get Brent to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him all that he wanted, but he simply laughed at me.

I did not get a photo of Josie smiling with Santa, because Brent did not want to look like an idiot in his words trying to make her smile like he does at home. Even though I assured him no one would care they have all done the same things for their kids before. But he simply would not act stupid.

Our Little Nun!

Brent keeps telling Josie that when she gets old enough she was going to have to join the convent and become a nun. So what better way to prepare her for her future but to get her used to the attire.
Isn't she the cutest nun-to-be you have ever seen?!
So sorry boys, no Josie for you!

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

With all of the snow it is only appropriate for me to show all of you this funny picture. While
we were away for a friends wedding over Thanksgiving we dressed Josie up in a sweater coat that was given to her as a gift. It was very windy up there considering the time of year. I told her she looked like a giant marshmallow all balled up. Today, I started to think that perhaps she would blend into the snow if I laid her out in it.

She is our little marshmallow and looks so cute!

Santa Where Are You?

Little Miss Josie simply can not wait any longer for Santa to come. She fell fast asleep today laying in front of the Christmas tree loaded with Christmas presents just waiting for Santa. When she woke up I found her intermixed with all of the holiday goodies under the tree. She had scooted up under the tree, I guess to get a scoop of what Santa may bring. I simply told her that if she snooped Santa would bring her coal in her stocking instead, but she know I was fibbing because she flashed me a smile from ear to ear. Who could blame her she knows she is spoiled rotten!

22 Shopping Days Left!

Are you ready for Christmas?!

According to the TV, there is only 22 shopping days left. In the bottom hand of the TV screen, some stations are letting all of us know how many days we have left to buy that perfect present for our loved ones. I think it is funny! It is like a little reminder to Brent how many days he has left to procrastinate. My birthday as all of you know was Saturday and silly old Brent was birthday shopping on Friday. Nothing but waiting to the last minute huh.

As for me, I like to get a jump start on my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving. It seems as if all the stores get really crowded after Thanksgiving, so I try my hardest to be done or close to done before then so that I do not have to fight the crowds. I know that seems crazy, but especially now that I have a baby I could not imagine fighting herds of people with a baby strapped in a stroller. Plus, it takes me 10 times longer to shop now.

Happy Shopping! Remember only 22 days left!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today, I turn the big 24 years old! Can you believe it? I can't. It is so hard to believe all that I have done in the last 24 years. So, much has happened in my life within the last year. I graduated from college, celebrated 1 year of happy marriage, got pregnant, and had a beautiful baby girl among other things.

However, every birthday just simply is not the same anymore. Last year was the hardest birthday ever for me to celebrate. I was really depressed and sad for several reasons. Every birthday since I was little girl my mother would wake me up singing her own version of Happy Birthday with a twist and dancing to wake me up. If for some reason she had to work or something and she did not want to wake me, she would call me on the phone and do her birthday thing. Every birthday, I wake up waiting for my mom to come in the room or the phone to ring for her to do her thing, but it simply does not happen. It makes me sad, but once I close my eyes, I can hear her voice and see her doing her silly song. I will never forget the loads of fun she made my birthdays.

In the years to come, I am going to make sure that Josie's birthday is special to her. That way when she gets older she has her own birthday memories to remember.

Well, I believe that my birthday is officially jinked. Yes, jinked. Last year, on my birthday we had the big snow storm that kept everyone cooped up in their house for days. We were snowed in until 10 PM when the snow plows finally decided to come and plow us out. We had to cancel my birthday party at Debbie's and instead of eating my favorite meal, Brent and I had frozen pizza. To make it even more special, Brent put a candle in it. How cute! Well, this year was a little different. We were not snowed in, but iced in. The deck was one solid piece of ice. My sisters and I were to go to a craft show this morning and out to lunch, but due to the weather we had to cancel. Which made me really sad. This is 2 years in a row that my birthday plans have been crushed. I hope that next year things get better.
