Christmas Continued

We spent the day after Christmas with my Dad, sisters and family celebrating the holiday season. A little different then the way we have always done it, but with conflicting events this year was the way it turned out. We enjoyed lots of really yummy food. Thanks! And watched the kids make out like bandits. Man, are we all spoiled.

Josie got lots of really cool things. She received a Leapfrog Tag reader, which she LOVES! She plays with it all the time. Thanks Great Grandma and Grandpa! She got a scooter (she loves to ride it around the kitchen), and an Alphie (she can't get enough of this either). I had one when I was little and she just could not believe that just to name a few.

Ogdan got some very warm clothes, blanket, car to ride, dump truck (he loves this and makes truck notices while playing with it), camo shoes and clothes, and singing Frosty the Snowman to name a few.

Thanks to all for making our Christmas memorable.

Merry Christmas!

Santa was very nice to Ogdan and Josie this year. They must have been nice themselves. Well, at least part of the time right?!? We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas also.

Best Aunt Ever!

What makes an Aunt the best ever? Well, let me tell you. The best Aunt ever listens to what you say and surprises you. Around Christmas time, Jacob kept making remarks when he saw a commercial for a new game called Pop the Pig that he really wanted it. It was a new and hot ticket Christmas item this year. It was sold out everywhere, in store and online. I decided that I was going to get this game for him and make his Christmas. I was determined. I watch online daily. The game started to even rise in price as it became more popular and was harder to find. But being the Super Best Aunt Ever checked online daily and was able to get it at a good price before Christmas. Hours after I purchased it it was sold out already. We had a blast playing it on Christmas Eve.

So, what is Pop the Pig? You feed the pig cheeseburgers and each time he eats his tummy gets larger and larger. When he has had enough and his belt pops you lose. They make an older kids version of the same game called Gassy Gus. With that one you feed the fat guy chili dogs, chips, just pure junk food and when he gets full he farts and you lose. Let me just say, who comes up with stuff.

Christmas with the Family

On Christmas Eve, we fought the snow and ventured to my sister's house for our annual Christmas Eve extravaganza. Brent was suppose to get off work a few hours early, but only got out about an hour and a half early. So, we were running later than expected. This year was different than in past years, as me and my clan were the only ones who showed up. We feasted until our pants barely fit and watched the kids open presents and play with all of their new neat toys. The kids and us all had a blast! It was not the wine or anything talking, even though it was flowing a little. The snow almost spoiled our festivities, but we got there and home safe and sound. So, ha snow. Man, are we blest to have such a great family to enjoy the holidays with.

Love you all and thanks for the yummy food.

Singing Sensation

Josie became a singing sensation this holiday season. She was a active participant in the church's annual Christmas pageant. She got up in front of around 150 people and sang Christmas songs and had her debut. These songs were not your typical Christmas songs, but songs specially wrote for the purchased scripts. She would dance around on stage to the music and sing what parts of the songs that she knew. When it came time to speak her part I was thinking she was going to freeze up, but she didn't. She said into the microphone her line "And everyone went to their own town to register." It was kind of hard to understand what she said because she was holding the microphone all by herself and had her mouth on the mic, but I knew what she said because we practiced and practiced at home. She was the youngest person in the Christmas program (3 years old) and even said her part. Some of the older kids didn't even say their parts. Way to go Josie! Brent video taped her performance, so 30 years from now we can watch and laugh at her being crazy on the stage busting a move. At the end of the show, she went to the back grabbed the microphone and then came back upfront. She began singing into the microphone. I was dying laughing. Oh course at this point, the video camera ran out of tape and Brent had stepped out since Ogdan had a little accident and needed to have his clothes changed. Overall, Josie did excellent! She was quite the acting star and may be the next singing sensation. She sang her songs all the way home.

Here Ogdan is trying to get his song in!
