Officer, I Didn't Do It!
I do not know why I found this really funny, but I did. Brent decided he wanted to make the guys at work laugh so when he shaved this is the outcome he got. Yes, it was what he was going for, but oh my. He reminded me of one of the officers from Reno 911. I am laughing right now as I am posting this just looking at the photos. I told Brent that he could not say anything at work and see how long it took his coworkers to say anything. One coworker commented on how they liked the new look. Brent immediately informed them it was a joke and it looked funny, oh course the coworker was like thank goodness because you do look silly but just wanted to be nice.
What really made me laugh was that a week after this appearance I was at a garage sale and they had the Reno 911 Halloween costume for sale and I burst into laughter. People probably thought I was crazy. I told Brent I was going to buy it for his, but it was to small and make him wear it for Halloween this year.
Brent, you always keep me laughing and that is why I love you!

Fun in the Sun
With the hot tempertures being in the 90+ and even 100+ at times there is really nothing more to do than to cool off in a swimming pool. It is far to hot to really do anything else outside. So, rather than being all cooped up inside in the air conditioning driving me up the walls we go swimming almost daily. This is the highlight of the kids summer. Go either go to Papa Dave's or Grandpa Terry's to get all nice and cool.
Josie is a little fish. She can swim all by herself with absolutely no floaties, swims to the bottom to get diving sticks, jumps off the sides, and is just a pro.
Ogdan has gotten better day by day. At the beginning, he would not put a floatie on and you would have to hold both of his hands and swim with him and hold him. As the summer days have passed he is now swimming on his own with floaties, going under the get diving toys, and is jumping off the side on his own. This is a huge change then earlier. We are so proud of how far he has come already this summer.
Nash loves the water! Always kicking he feet and splashing. He wants so bad to just go off with his brother and sister and have fun with them, but can't. Wait until next year bud.

T-Ball Anyone?
This summer Josie played for the very first time on an organized sport. She played t-ball. Well, played may be an understatement. She was hillarious. She took her sweet little time playing, running after the ball, and throwing it. It would not have been a game if she didn't sit on the base to take a rest, play in the dirt, or pull weeds. She just appeared to be so bored on the field. As the season went on, she did a little better, but if the ball did not come within a few feet from her she just let it go. We would yell at her to go and get it and she would just watch the other kids go after it.
Thanks to those who came out to watch her, um, play.

Swimming Lessons
Josie and Ogdan participated in swimming lessons this summer. We were not sure how Ogdan would react and boy it was funny. He would do what they asked him to do and in between he would plead with the teacher and want his Mommy. Lessons were everyday Monday through Friday for two weeks. By the end, we learned that if he was in the big pool where his sister was taking lessons he was perfectly fine, no crying or whining. Why didn't we think of that a week ago. Josie goes off the big diving board and swims to the side all on her own. No one even catches her! Way to go Jo! Lessons this year were a big help and next year will be even better.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all of you Daddy's out there.
We enjoyed a nice day with fun in the sun with our Daddy, Papa, Grandpa, and Uncle. The whole family met at my Dad's house for a day filled with yummy food and family. The kids loved playing in the pool and getting Papa all wet. What a way to spend Father's Day!
Our favorite day of the summer so far.
