Yesterday, marked the turning point in my life. For the first time in something like 7 YEARS, I do not have a job. That is right, I am officially unemployed. No more getting up early to go to work when it is nice outside and I would rather be laying out in the sun. No more going to bed early to be able to get up in the morning, no more nothing. I am a free woman!
July 31st was my last day at the bank. Brent and I decided that this was the best time to leave the bank. There is tons of things that I would like to get down around the house before our little one arrives and the doctor stated that I need to stay off my feel as much as possible to help keep the water weight down. While working at the bank, I was a teller so it meant standing on my feet for most of the day. Everyday when I got home my feet were swollen and my back killed me. I was way to tired to really do anything, so my house looks like a disaster area, which drives me NUTS!
I told Brent I was happy and sad all at the same moment. I was happy because I was soon going to be welcoming our little one into the world, I did not have to get up anymore in the morning, or waste the summer sun rays. I was sad because I could no longer use the excuse that I was way to tired when I got home from work to do anything. I guess it is a give and take situation.
Has being unemployed sunk in yet???? NO! Today is only day #2 and I do not feel like I am unemployed yet. It just seems as if I have a few days off of work.
Well, I have to get back to doing some house chores and then back to resting my little swollen feet.
