Here are some adorable photos of our lovely bundle of joy.
This is a photo of the baby's face. Do yo see it? The baby has some cute chubby cheeks.
I am dilated to a 3 already, but the doctor stated that after he did his little magic that it may increase to a 4 very soon. That means that over the past week, I dilated 1 more cm on my own. I will not get into any details on how he did his stuff, but lets just say I chomped really hard on my gum when he did it. I am also 90% thinned out. Yes, 90%! The baby is head down and ready to come out when he or she feels like it.
Ok, so I know all of you want to know more about the baby and not me, so here it goes. The sono and appointment went great. As has the rest of my pregnancy. All the test results that I have had have come back negative, such as the Strep B test done last week. The baby weighs in at an estimated 6 pounds 10 ounces. That is right our baby is putting on the weight as expected. He or she should be gaining at or around a half a pound per week, which means that next week at this time the baby will be a little over 7 pounds. The heart beat is at 130 beats per minute.
We went ahead and made our weekly appointment for next week, however Brent and I do not think we will make it that long. From the way the doctor was talking chances are he does not think so also.
Brent and I keep telling people that this weekend is the big weekend. Why you ask? Well because the grandparents on both sides will be out of town at least Friday through Monday. So of course the baby will choose to come then when no one is around. However, they are both within a 3 hour drive from home, which would allow enough time for them to travel home in time for the little ones arrival.
This photo is turned so that you can see the baby's foot.
