In Need of Daddy's Little Helper!
You know the saying "when it rains it pours," that is about how my lovely husband Brent is stating about now. Last night, after a wonderful doctors visit that left Brent so ecstatic that he could not stand it, he had to return to work to finish up on some last minute items. Of course, he was so proud of his little baby that he took in a photo of the sono to show off to all of the guys at work. Which some of could see the different baby features and some could not. Well, who could blame them, they are men after all.
Well, anyways on Brent's was home his brake in the vehicle went directly to the floor and the brake light turned on. Crap! This means that the truck had a huge problem with the brakes. He had none. He got home from work late like around 8 PM to eat dinner and venture out buy brake fluid because there was not a drop in the tank. When he got up for work at 3:30 AM, he had to refill the tank. However, he drove to work and then refilled it yet again before returning home for the night.
So, tonight he has spent his evening fixing this HUGE mess. He ended up having a hole in the brake line, so he took it out all together and we ventured in to the nearest Auto Repair shop to buy parts. I feel so sorry for him. He knows what he is doing, kind of he states.
He was so cute though. I was sitting in the garage talking to him letting the air out of my lake rafts helping when he needed it and he stated "THIS IS THE TIME I NEED MY LITTLE HELPER!" At first, I thought he was making fun of my being large and pregnant, but he was actually referring to the baby. He can not wait for the baby to get here. So then he stated, "WELL YOU ARE THE BEST PREGNANT HELPER I HAVE EVER HAD!" What a kind man.
We keep saying that if I was go into labor it would be when the truck is broke down with absolutely no brakes and we have a huge mess to get it fixed.
He has only been out working on the truck now for about 4 hours, so I can almost guarantee you he is not in the best mood anymore. Pray that he gets it fixed soon and that he knows what he is doing.
