The story of my summer has been run to the doctor here, run to the doctor there. Well, today was nothing different. Except for instead of me running to the doctor for myself, I was running Ogdan to the doctor instead. He has been getting some bumps on his body at various locations that remind me of pimples that are fluid filled. I cover them with a band aid, they pop, then go away, end of story. Well, this morning he woke up with a really nasty one on his ankle. He had one there about a week ago and it was almost completely gone that was until this morning. It was really red, hard, about the size of a dime, with a fluid filled center with a dark green dot in the center. It looked like it killed and looked painful. With vacation coming up I did not want to take any chances, so off to the doctor I went. They had the same reaction I did. So, they put him on antibiotics. However, that was not the only thing that they did. They ended up lancing it (ouch!). All they do is put some iodine on it then lance it. Poor little guy! They swabbed it two times to get out all of the gross stuff and send it out to the lab to be tested. One thing they are testing it for is Myrsa (sorry Debbie). I told them about Debbie having the infection, so they wanted to see if this was it or not to be on the safe side. It had to kill. All I could keep thinking was that even though it hurt to have it lanced, it had to feel much better because it was super tight. This evening it looks much better and looks like it is going away. Hopefully, for good.
