Move Over Josie...Daddy's Got Himself A New Baby!

This photo cracks me up. Brent is acting like he is driving the tractor and making his tractor noises while he is doing it. Priceless!

Move Over Josie...Daddy's Got Himself A New Baby! Not the kind of baby that you are thinking of. Well, actually Mommy is baking an actual human baby in her growing tummy, but that is not the kind of baby I am talking about here.

Brent has had a passion in his life for a very long time. Well, actually since we moved out of town into the country down a dirt road. The county plows snow only up to the end of our driveway leaving our neighbors to dig their way out of the road. The mailman delivers all mail to the end of our driveway meaning we have three mailboxes at the end of ours. Our neighbor has been so generous to use his tractor to plow us out of the drive when he digs himself out. Which is a plus for Brent, because you will not see me outside with a snow shovel digging out the drive. The deck and sidewalk ok, but not the drive. Lets just say that is way to much work.

I think living out in the country brings out a different side of you. You are one to just simply sit outside on a nice evening and enjoy the peace and quiet, get more involved with activities with your family, and respect nature. I mean there are nights where we just simply watch deer roam the yard and such. What a life!

Well, this dying desire in Brent has been brewing for years now. We discussed that once baby #1 (Josie) was here that Brent could get a baby of his very own. This baby that I am talking about is nothing other than a....TRACTOR! Brent has become such a farm boy and has been literally dying for a tractor of his very own. His father has one and I simply tell him just borrow his, it would save us lots of money. But you know boys and their toys, he said it was not the same and eventually I would have to give in since I had a baby and he needed one of his own. I mean he would search on the Internet, eBay, newspaper, everywhere to find the perfect tractor. I told him a budget and he had to stick within it. He kept telling me there was no way he could find a good tractor in good condition that would fit in the budget I gave him. I mean I could not justify paying more for a tractor than what I paid for my new vehicle (back in 2005).

Well, two children in and Brent has finally got his baby of his own. His Aunt and Uncle out of state found him his new precious baby. His father went picked it up over the weekend and delivered it home. How very nice of him! Brent was like a kid on Christmas morning all day on Monday. "My tractor is coming! My tractor is coming! Did I mention, my tractor is coming!"

So, when his baby arrived of course he was grinning from ear to ear. It is not working at the very moment, but that is besides the point. In his opinion, he got a good deal on the tractor and he believes it is fixable. Lets hope so. I have to point out that it needs a little work, but hopefully it will not be much and to expensive. Since, it will not run, Brent got on it and made tractor noises and acted as if he was driving it. I thought I was going to pee my pants laughing at him.

I am so happy that he finally got his baby, now perhaps he will be shut up about he is never going to get a tractor.

What really cracks me up is now that he has this tractor, he wants to build a new garage. Somewhere to store his tractor. Not his truck, that would be to practical, no his tractor! Men I tell you!

Here are a few photos of Brent's new baby.

Congrats on your new baby!

In hog heaven

You think this is Daddy's tractor...well, you are wrong it is "MINE!"

If only it would start, I would be out of here.

Checking everything over. You know kind of like a doctors visit, but for a tractor.
