Blizzard 2011

Like I tell my students at school "Even teachers wish for SNOW DAYS!" The perk of being a teacher is not only do we get weekends, major holidays and summers off, but when the weather gets really nasty we also get out of school for snow. And that is exactly what has happened this week. We got out of school not 1, not 2, but 3 SNOW DAYS!

Well, as all of you know the states were hit with a crazy blizzard storm this week. So, for the last three days I have been snow bound inside. I have to say, it has been a little nice. However, I just keep thinking that is just 3 more days in May that I will have to go. Brent was off the last two days, so being cooped up in front of a warm fire all day snowed in as a family was kind of nice. But the cabin fever is setting in. I need a shower and a clean set of jammies. I have not gotten out of the jammies in 3 days other than to bathe. Talk about lazy, but hey that just simply means more laundry. And I hate laundry well the folding and putting away part I hate.

The storm was one that we will never forget. Snow drifts baracated our door making it extremely hard to get outside. We had kept the deck plowed off until around 9 PM. But that didn't matter because when we got up the next morning we were trapped. This was one crazy storm with Thunder Snow. Weird, but neat!

Take a look at some of the photos we were able to get of the aftermath of snow.

The garage entry door is quickly getting blocked.

There is a window underneath Josie's window, can you tell?

Dinning out snow style

There are windows underneath all of that snow.
