Today, Josie had her 2 1/2 year doctors appointment. She was very excited to be going. She loves our pedetrition, so she does not mind going. She was exceptionally happy because in her words she was going to ask him "Fix my butt!" She has had a rash that I thought was a diaper rash since mid-January. I put on Desitin on for it to get a little better than worse again. When Ogdan was born I asked the doctor that we saw because our regular pediatriation was out of the office about the rash. She looked at it and told us to put Nerosporen on it. So, we did that religiously. When we went back for the 2 week appointment again we asked about it again. It had gotten worse at times and then better at time. She said to keep doing what we were doing. Well, Josie, Mommy and Daddy had had it. It had been nearly 3 months and we are not really getting any where with this thing. So, the doctor came in and did his thing and asked if we had any questions or concerns. Brent and I both looked at Josie and said "Josie do you have something you want to talk to him about?" She then told him "My butt hurts. Please fix it!" He looked at it and perscribed her some oral medication to help get rid of it. I think the other doctor that we saw does not perscribe as many medications it sounds like because the doctor asked "what did she give her to take when you talked to her?" I explained what she told us to do and he obviously agreed with us and gave her some medication.
If you ask her if her butt heals better, her response is "almost."
Her stats are:
Weight - 29 pounds - 55%-tile
Height - 36 1/2 inches - 70%-tile
Most children do not have well visits at 2 1/2 years old they usually are 2 and then at 3. However, my doctor has started well visits at this odd age as a screener for autism.
