After the parade, Santa is at the local towns building for cookies and photos. However, they changed things this year and I did not know. This year Santa was there for photos before the parade instead of after. I broke Josie's heart. I had to tell her that Santa had already gone back to the North Pole for the night to work in his workshop and that we could not see him. She was devastated. She started to cry and say "But I wanted to tell Santa I want a puppy." We had talked all the way to the parade in the car about seeing Santa after the parade and no Santa. Poor child. She was crushed.
Then to top off the no Santa thing. As we were walking to our car, here comes Santa on the firetruck to be delivered to his car. Josie got really excited stating that Santa had not gone home yet that he was still there. At this point, Brent was yelling at me to hurry up. He did not want Josie to see Santa become your Average Joe right in front of her eyes. She kept begging to go and see him, but we just kindly drove away before the unthinkable happened. I would hate to spoil Santa already at only age 3.
I hope Josie can see Santa before Christmas that way she can tell him what she wants and get photos with him. However, I am to cheap to spend the $30 at the mall to get the photos. Hopefully we see Santa elsewhere.
