Every family has their very own traditions. This year we started a new tradition in our house called The Elf on the Shelf. Josie got into it. This is how it works, the week before Christmas Santa sent one of his little helper elves to stay at our house until Christmas. He is only at our house for a short amount of time, because he has lots of toys to make for Santa. Our little elf (Mr. Elf as Josie named him) watched us all day long and reported back to Santa at night letting him know if we were good little boys and girls while we were sleeping. Mr. Elf has magical powers to fly back to Santa at night, but if you touch him he will loose some of that power. Which would be bad because then he could not report back to the big guy in red. Then, when we awake in the morning he is not where we have left him, but in a new place that we must find. Josie loved checking to see if Mr. Elf had left his location and had moved somewhere else. She would then look all over the house to find him. Mr. Elf made her mad a few times with what he had done, but she got over it. It is a new tradition that we will be keeping.
Take a look at where Mr. Elf visited while visiting with us.

Mr. Elf made Josie a little upset when she found him eating her sucker candy.

Mr. Elf was thirsty so was found sitting on top of the water cooler. When Josie found him the water cooler bubbled to let more water fill inside and she started laughing. I asked her what was so funny and she responded "Mr. Elf farted!" To funny Josie.

From eating all of that sucker candy, Mr. Elf decided to borrow Josie's toothbrush to get all that sticky candy out of his teeth.
