Cookies for Santa
With all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we did not have our annual Christmas Cookie baking day. We usually go over to my sister's house and spend the entire day baking cookies. I mean this is serious baking. Last year, we made around 800 cookies. Well, this year with my nephew being really sick and in an out of the hospital for 3 weeks and the holiday hoopla that comes with the season we were unable to make these tasty treats before Christmas. So, when Christmas came approaching Josie made a comment about cookies for Santa and I had an ahh moment. Since, we did not bake cookies at me sister's house, we had no treats to give to Santa. So, baking we began at our house. We spent a few hours making Santa sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. Josie did most of the work with Mommy and Ogdan's help. Ok, Ogdan was just there for support. He mostly yelled at us to bake faster and hand him over a spoon to chew on. Thank goodness Santa is easy going when it comes to cookies.
