Festival of Lights Display

'Tis the Season for Christmas lights. Josie loves to drive past peoples homes that are all lit up with colorful lights, so we thought why not go to see some. We had planned on going to the lights parade, but due to different things were unable to make it to the parade. They take the floats and then put them on display for all to see after the parade. So, we loaded up the car and to see the floats we went. They were awesome. It cost only $5 per car during the week to see all of the floats so after school one night we went. Let me just say that was the way to go. No parade ever for us! I know it is the whole parade thing, but just think of it this way. No crowds, no fighting for parking spots and walking miles, and no having to stand outside in the bitter cold. Instead, get to sit in the comfort of my own warm car and go for a short little drive at our own pace. Jackpot! I think we have started a new tradition and next year we will be back to see what new floats they came up with. I think the parade is televised, but to get the actual effect you have to see in person.

Before we went to see the lights we ate at Steak-n-Shake. Yummy! Yeah, no cooking for Mommy!
