Where has the time gone...from this
to this!
Can you believe that Josie is 3 already?!? Where has the time gone? When they say kids grow up to fast now of days, they are 100% correct they do. I rememeber the day that she was born just a little sprout, now she is all grown up. Ok, Jennifer knock off the tears. This only means that Brent and I are getting OLD. The dreaded OLD parents stage is quickly approaching us. To celebrate, we went out to eat some yummy pizza and out for ice cream. Josie had taken a good nap during the day, but by the time we got to the restaurant she was wildly crazy because she was yet again sleepy. She had to go to the bathroom 3 times while we were at the restaurant and kept taking off her shoes. When the shoes comes off it is a dead give away that she is tired. The pizza was good and we had leftovers, which means lunch the next day. YEAH!
After dinner, we ventured out for ice cream. We had to eat our birthday treat in the car however because it started to rain and we were not about to get soaking wet eating our ice cream. Josie wanted chocolate ice cream with sprinkles and that is what she got. I thought her eyes were going to pop out of her head when she saw all the sprinkles.
Every child/person has to open up at least one present on their birthday, so yes Josie got yet another birthday gift. I had ordered her a ring a few weeks ago at a jewelry party I went to, but it had not come in yet. Luckly, I had a backup gift just in case. We got her a Weeble Wobble. You know one of those blow up things where you punch it and it pops back up. She loves it, as does Ogdan.
I have to say the funniest part of the night was around bedtime when she got really mad. She was upset because no one called her on her birthday to say "Happy Birthday!" So, she got on the phone and called Grandma Debbie. The conversation was hillarious we thought. "Grandma...I'm SO mad at you (she said this with anger in her face)...you didn't call me on my birthday..." I thought Brent and I were going to die laughing. She is very outgoing and has a mind of her own. I will admit it that I am that way also. I tell you how things are and don't sugar coat anything. So, I guess she gets that from me. When she got off the phone with Grandma Debbie, she wanted to call Papa Dave. I had to explain to her that he was in Canada bear hunting. He said he would call us before he went into Canada, but we never heard from him so hopefully he made it safely. I told her when he got back she could talk to him. That satisfied her for the time being.
To my little girl all grown up, Happy Birthday!
