On Monday, May 31st, we ventured up to the local Memorial Day Parade. We did not go by ourselves, of course in Josie's words "that would be silly." Grandma Debbie and Aunt Peggy who surprised us from out of state for the week went with us. We met Jessica, Annabelle, Whitney, and Kendra up at the parade also.
Josie loved watching all of the cool tractors and trucks drive by. Oh, yeah and the part about how they throw candy to the kids too. Ogdan was not so sure of everything. He is a total boy when it comes to things like tractors and trucks, but I think the amount of strange people, traffic, and people throwing candy got to him. He stayed as close to Aunt Peggy as he could. He cuddled up inside her legs and stood there and watched the entire parade and did not move. When it came time for the ceremony, Aunt Peggy took Ogdan back to the house with cousin Whitney. It was way to hot outside for them and they were both really sleepy.
Josie did pretty good during the ceremony, however you could not hear very well and it was really hot, so she kept asking if we could leave and go swimming at Grandma's.
