Our Little Girl Is All Grown Up

Today, Josie had her 2 year doctors appointment. Can you believe it? She is already 2 years old. Our little girl is all grown up. She is no longer a baby anymore.

The last time she went to the doctors is when it was her 18 month check-up. At that time her stats were:

Weight - 21 lbs 6 oz - 7%-tile
Height - 33 inches - 78%-tile
Head - 45 cm - 13%-tile

Today, they are:

Weight - 26 1/2 pounds (49%-tile)
Height - 34 1/4 inches (63%-tile)
Head - 46.3 cm - (20%-tile)

So, in a short six months time she gained 5 pounds, grew 1 1/4 inches, and gained 1.3cm in her head. Her numbers are still comparable, but the little chunky monkey went flying up in the weight department. I guess that is because she eats what we eat and obviously it is junk (goes straight to the trunk). I knew she was going through a growth spurt and that she did.

She did not have to get any shots, which is awesome in all of our opinions. I was unable to go with her to the doctors today because I had to work. I really wanted to take it off and go with her, but with me having to take 1 1/2 days the first week of school and already having to take a 1/2 in September for my own doctors appointment I just really could not do it. I only get so many sick/personal days a year and am trying to save them so I do not have to take as many doc-days when the new baby arrives this Spring. I know how selfish am I. But on the bright side, Josie goes back to the doctors in 6 months, which would put us in March when I am due, so I will make sure to schedule the appointment late in March after the baby is here and I am already off on my maternity leave.

Here are a few photos of the Birthday Girl on her birthday!
