Open Range

As some of you know my father goes bear hunting every year (well at least he has for the last 2 or 3 years now) in Canada. He is what I call a true sportsman. He travels into the boonies of the woods with nothing on him but a bow and arrow to shoot a black bear. Most of the men that he goes on this trip with hunt with some type of a gun, but not my Dad. He shoots it the old fashion way with skill and luck. I say this because bears can climb and if he misses them, heaven help him.
This year, he was not able to bring home a bear, but hey you can not get one every time.

He finally after waiting a full year got back the full mount of the bear he shot last year. It looks great! It is standing in the corner of his living room and is amazing. It was worth the wait. He has stated that he will eventually give each of his grandkids a stuffed bear. So, we will see if he is lucky enough to shoot enough bears. Well, at least he has one down right.
