Independent Swimmer

Over the weekend, we went swimming as usual. Josie is like a little fish you all now that. You put on her little swimmy and off she goes. Sunday, Brent was lucky enough to join us in the pool. He was swimming with Josie and made her practice with her floatie off. By the end of the day, she would go under water and get the diving sticks off the last step of the pool all by herself and....drum roll please...she swam almost to the other side of the pool all by herself with NO FLOATIES OR HELP!!!! WAY TO GO JOSIE!!!! She would swim off the ladder to Brent. He stayed close a few times then when we realized she really could do it he would stand there and as she swam towards him he would back up until she needed assistance. She put her face in and off kicking she would go. What a big girl and a swimmer she is. I am so proud of her swimming independently at age 2! She still has lots of work to do before the floaties come off for good, but she has a good start. Man, my little girl is growing up fast.
